Many of us recognize that “something” in our lives needs to change for us to become happier and to improve the quality of our lives. Often times we feel either stuck or become ambivalent about taking steps because of the fear of what change will lead to.

Working with a therapist can guide you in this process of discovery and change and in doing so put you on the path of shifting from where you are to where you want to be.

My Name is Daniel Kobosky. My style is an active collaboration that aligns the behaviors with the values of the individual I am working with in a nonjudgmental and respectful environment. I believe it is important to have the individual set the goals that they would like to accomplish in therapy. My role in the therapeutic process is to help you recognize and maximize those internal and interpersonal skills that you possess, while supporting you in the development of new adaptive techniques and strategies.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, explosive anger and co-occurring disorders of mental health and substance abuse. I use a multi layered therapeutic approach utilizing Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches to find the right fit for each client.

In addition to my masters, I have obtained my National Certification in Addiction Counseling (NCAC) and my Masters in Addiction Counseling (MAC). For the last 26 years I have been working with health care professionals, attorneys, CEO's and individuals in safety sensitive positions struggling with substance abuse issues who are trying to prevent the loss of a professional license, custody, family or their career.

Teletherapy is more flexible with early morning, daytime and evening appointments that can operate outside of normal "office hours." Same day sessions can be scheduled for crisis situations and can be used between office visits for support.
